| Courses: You want an MBA that is real proof of your professional worth but you need to maintain all your existing career and family commitments. Structure Nine courses are required to earn the MBA and there are seven compulsory core courses plus two electives. Although courses can be taken in any order, examination results suggest that students who do a core course before tackling an associated elective perform better in the elective as a result. The core course in strategic planning is the only core course that refers to concepts and knowledge from the other core courses, and we strongly recommend taking it as the last core course.  Edinburgh Business School offers specialist MBAs. To qualify for a specialist MBA, a student has to complete seven compulsory courses plus four elective courses taken from a designated group. | Learning website The learning website provides you with ready access to your study text in a downloadable and fully searchable HTML format. The content is regularly reviewed. The website contains the following tools to support your learning: The Profiler enables you to build a comprehensive picture of your strengths and weaknesses in the key elements of the course. It processes the results of multiple-choice tests and self-assessed cases and shows clearly whether you have understood the course as a whole. It provides a basis on which to identify weak areas and to complete your studies and examination preparation effectively. Interactive tutorials and downloadable simulations are used to provide hands-on experience of the more technical aspects of the courses.
